Precision Devices, Inc. Surface Finish Measurement System for Oil Pump Cover-Stator Shaft Assembly

The system allows quick and accurate inspection of surface finish at multiple locations on the part (oil pump cover stator shaft assembly). The fixture can hold the part in three positions for it to be checked on inner and outer diameters of the shaft and both faces of the cover. A Surfometer Series-400 linear motor drive is mounted to a friction slide that can be moved back and forth with a lever. A cam actuated tracer lift lowers tracer at a desired check point.
